Rob Friedl has worked in the futures industry since 1987 and has extensive experience in system research and development. He is also experienced in trading-room operations and all aspects of trading advisory operations and management including back office operations and accounting.
Rob was a founding principal of Webster Management Group, a prominent CTA in the 1990’s. He co-designed the initial trading strategies and was an integral member of the research team. In addition to his responsibilities in research, Mr. Friedl was the principal in charge of Webster’s trading operation from 1993 through 1995. During that time he supervised the design and implementation of Webster’s back office software and account management systems.
Mr. Friedl has worked as an in-house proprietary trader for two years with Fall River Group. He also has management experience in three different futures firms.
Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wyoming (1986).
Mr. Wambach began his career as an accountant in the alternative investment business in October of 1994 at Stark Investments, a global trading convertible hedge fund. During Doug’s tenure at Stark, assets grew from approximately $40 million to over $2 billion by 2002. Mr. Wambach served as a reconciliation Accountant, Finance and Portfolio Leverage Manager, managed an equity swap portfolio, and administered a Stock Loan Portfolio. Doug also had the responsibility for overseeing a 5 person department that managed the cost to carry for a leveraged portfolio of borrowed balances in 10 currencies, valued over 14 Billion dollars. He was also responsible for prime broker relationships in the United States, Europe and Asia.
In September of 2003, Mr. Wambach joined the Fall River Team to manage the accounting and financial functions.
Mr. Wambach is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a BBA in Accounting, 1993. Series 7 Certification in October 2000.
Kathy began her alternative investment career at Stark Investments, a global trading convertible hedge fund, in February 1996. Over 14+ years, Kathy served as a Reconciliation Accountant, Equity Swap Accountant, Account Manager and Financial Reporter, where her roles included reconciling trade activity, maintaining positions and cash, estimating and tracking accruals, accurately closing the books and generating Rate of Return. Kathy implemented and managed the original total return swap accounting system. She also headed the back office training seminars. In her time at Stark, Kathy saw Net Assets Under Management grow from approximately $215 million to over $3.5 billion and staff grow from 20 people to approximately 150 people.
Kathy joined FRC in April 2004 and is responsible for administrative and compliance duties as well as assisting in trading operations and accounting.
Kathy is an honors graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a BBA in Accounting.
